Scott grew up in Lynchburg, Va and spent almost 20 years there before graduating from Liberty University with a degree in Church Ministries in 1995.  For the last fourteen years he served in student ministries at various churches throughout Virginia, Florida, and most recently in North Carolina.   Scott has a desire to see people become all that God designed them to become and do all God designed them to do.   He is passionate about leading people to maximizing the strengths and abilities God has put within them.   He also strives to share Biblical truths in ways that makes sense and causes people to fully follow after God.  He relational approach at meeting people where they are in life and bringing them one step closer to Christ will be at the core of Dan River Church.

Scott has been married to Tammy for almost twelve years.  Tammy is a graduate of Liberty University and grew up in Orange County, CA.   They have two boys, Hunter (7) and Kaden (3).  Scott loves to go on dates with his wife, play all sorts of made up games with his boys, and enjoys watching and playing almost every sport imaginable.   His favorite sports teams are the UNC Tarheels and Pittsburgh Steelers.
