One of the critical steps to being connected to any family is by serving its members. It’s no different in a church family. When you serve others, you value them more. And when you value people, you feel connected to them. We believe part of the growth and discipleship of a believer is when they take the next step of getting involved in the ministry of the church.  We’ve done our best to make it easy for you to find the on-ramp to serving on a team at Dan River.  All you have to do is select a position below that sounds interesting to you and one of our staff team ministers will contact you in the coming days with more information.

1. Children’s Ministry

Invest your life into the lives of the next generation to come.  Help our children know how much God loves them and has an incredible plan for their life.  Our children’s ministry volunteers serve in one of three areas: Nursery, Pre-school and Elementary

2.Student Ministry

In the coming weeks we will be starting small groups for our middle school and high school students.  We are looking for qualified leaders with the right heart to come alongside our leadership team to help train and equip the students of DRC.

3. First Impressions

Our First Impressions team consists of a large percentage of our DRC.  This covers many of the areas that every person will see before ever stepping foot into our Worship Center. The statistics tell us that a person will decide within 3 minutes if this is the church for them by how they are received and treated before the service ever begins.  This is a vital area in helping our guest feel accepted and welcomed.  The areas of service on this team include: Parking Lot Team, Greeters, Welcome Center, Next Steps Table, Coffee Host, Lobby Host, Security, Offering Team, Set up and Tear Down.

4.  Worship

If you are interested in auditioning to be part of our worship team please let us know and one of our leaders will call you to set up a time to audition.¬† Our worship team is made up of our Band and our Vocals.   Please let us know which area and specifics (i.e. bass guitar, drums, vocalist, etc) you would like to be part of.

5. Media/Tech Team

This team helps make the service go.  If you are interested in helping our lighting, video, sound, the set up/tear down of this equipment then our leaders would love to talk to you.  This team helps in the production side of the service.
