Show Notes:

“If you have no joy, there is a leak in your Christianity somewhere.” – Billy Sunday

Luke 2:10 — but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.

I Peter 1:8-9 — You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy.

Psalm 30:5 – Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes in the morning.

Joy is a _________________.

JOY TO THE WORLD:

1. Believe _____________ is possible.

John 15:11 — I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!

2. Move beyond ____________________________.

2 Corinthian 4:17-18 — For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 18So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

3. Look at _____________________________.

Romans 5:6-8 — When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. 7Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. 8But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.

4. Live ___________________________ minded.

Philippians 3:19-20 — They are headed for destruction. Their god is their appetite, they brag about shameful things, and they think only about this life here on earth. 20But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior.

5. Never forget the _______________________.

Psalm 16:11 — You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.
