Sermon Notes:

Proverbs 4:10-15 – My child, listen to me and do as I say, and you will have a long, good life. 11I will teach you wisdom’s ways and lead you in straight paths. 12When you walk, you won’t be held back; when you run, you won’t stumble. 13Take hold of my instructions; don’t let them go. Guard them, for they are the key to life. 14Don’t do as the wicked do, and don’t follow the path of evildoers. 15Don’t even think about it; don’t go that way. Turn away and keep moving.

1. _________________ is broken.

“No one ever made a difference by being like everyone else.” – P.T. Barnum

2. Our ________________________ make us stronger.

I Corinthians 12:18-22 – But our bodies have many parts, and God has put each part just where he wants it. 19How strange a body would be if it had only one part! 20Yes, there are many parts, but only one body. 21The eye can never say to the hand, “I don’t need you.” The head can’t say to the feet, “I don’t need you.” 22In fact, some parts of the body that seem weakest and least important are actually the most necessary.

3. Expect _________________________.

Hebrews 12:3 – Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up.

Romans 8:31 – What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?

4. ____________________ isn’t final.

Matthew 26:75 – Suddenly, Jesus’ words flashed through Peter’s mind: “Before the rooster crows, you will deny three times that you even know me.” And he went away, weeping bitterly.

Acts 2: 40-41 – Then Peter continued preaching for a long time, strongly urging all his listeners, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation!” 41Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about 3,000 in all.

5. True _____________________ is found in the eternal.

2 Corinthians 4:18 – We do not look at the things that can be seen. We look at the things that cannot be seen. The things that can be seen will come to an end. But the things that cannot be seen will last forever.
