Sermon Notes:

Colossians 3:1-2 — Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. 2Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.

2 Corinthians 9:11 — Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God.

Psalm 112:5-6, 9 — Good comes to those who live generously and conduct their business fairly. 6Such people will not be overcome by evil. Those who are righteous will be long remembered. 9They share freely and give generously to those in need. Their good deeds will be remembered forever. They will have influence and honor.

Matthew 25:14-15, 21, 25, 29 — “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of a man going on a long trip. He called together his servants and entrusted his money to them while he was gone. 15He gave five bags of silver to one, two bags of silver to another, and one bag of silver to the last—dividing it in proportion to their abilities. He then left on his trip… “The master was full of praise. ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!… 25I was afraid I would lose your money, so I hid it in the earth. Look, here is your money back… 29To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.
