John joined the DRC team after serving one year as Worship Team Director and four years as the Director of Family Ministries at Crossroads Church in Roanoke, VA. John completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology: Adolescent Development at Liberty University, and has worked in a variety of educational and clinical mental health settings before being called into full-time ministry. “From an early age, I felt a strong draw toward helping others. I assumed it would be as a counselor and pursued that course, but the Lord very clearly had other ideas. And having now served these years with the Thomas Road/Crossroads family, I can’t imagine doing anything else!”

John met Savannah, his wife of 10 years, at LU and they have two children, Elleanor (8) and Koen (6). Together they strive to help students and their families develop their God-given abilities and passions through personal relationships with Jesus Christ.
