SERMON NOTES:

Luke 12:2-3 – The time is coming when everything that is covered up will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all. 3Whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the housetops for all to hear!

Jeremiah 23:24 – Can anyone hide from me in a secret place? Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth?” says the LORD.

Everyone has a ______________.

Mask: “a ___________________________ used to hide the real one.”

1. Stop __________________________.

2 Corinthians 11:12-14 – And I will keep on doing what I’m doing. That will stop those who claim they have things to brag about. 13People like that are false apostles. They are workers who tell lies. They only pretend to be apostles of Christ. 14That comes as no surprise. Even Satan himself pretends to be an angel of light.

2. Avoid ___________________________.

James 3:16 – For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind.

Galatians 6:4-5 – Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else. 5For we are each responsible for our own conduct.

3. Admit ______________.

Psalm 28:13 – People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy.

James 5:16a – Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.

4. Accept ________________________________.

Psalm 139:13-14,17-18 – You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. 17How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! 18I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!
